About this role

Twin Pines Management is hiring multiple Porters for on-site work across its New York City properties, which range from market-rate communities to large-scale affordable housing. The role centers on keeping common areas, grounds, and vacant units clean and presentation-ready—work that directly supports both leasing efforts and resident satisfaction. You'll handle everything from lobby and hallway maintenance to vacant unit preparation, exterior upkeep including seasonal tasks like snow removal, and routine trash removal throughout the community.

Beyond cleaning, you'll report maintenance issues and safety concerns to your supervisor, manage cleaning supply inventory, and assist the broader maintenance and operations teams as needed. The work is physically demanding, requiring you to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 25 pounds, and work comfortably both indoors and outdoors in varying weather. Prior experience cleaning multifamily or commercial buildings is helpful but not required; what matters is attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage with multiple plan options, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and holidays, commuter benefits, and the chance to contribute to meaningful work in affordable housing across New York City. The hourly rate is $17.
