About this role

AvePoint is looking for a Business Development Representative to generate and qualify new sales opportunities in the corporate security and data management space. You'll research potential customers, identify their IT challenges, and craft targeted outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and events to move prospects into the sales pipeline. Working closely with account executives, you'll own the messaging strategy and qualification process, building relationships that convert leads into opportunities for the sales team to close.

This role suits someone with at least six months of outreach experience—ideally in software sales—who combines strong communication skills with the ability to grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly to non-technical buyers. You should be organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working fast in a dynamic environment. Experience with sales automation and prospecting tools is a plus. If you're eager to launch or expand a sales career while learning the corporate security landscape, and you work well both independently and as part of a team, this Chicago-based in-office position offers room to grow with the company.
