About this role
PagerDuty's Commercial Legal team is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel to manage the full lifecycle of commercial agreements supporting the company's SaaS and AI-driven platform. You'll draft, negotiate, and advise on customer and partner contracts across multiple deal types—from standard SaaS agreements to reseller and strategic partnerships—while working closely with sales, services, and channel teams. The role requires balancing legal risk with business velocity, and you'll collaborate across finance, security, product, and privacy to align contractual terms with broader company interests.
This position demands at least nine years of technology transactional experience, with deep expertise in SaaS, AI regulatory frameworks, and commercial deal structures. You should be comfortable supporting a global sales organization, navigating international transactions, and ideally have exposure to public sector contracting or regulated industries. The role also values hands-on involvement in operational improvements—whether that's evaluating contract lifecycle management tools, implementing generative AI contract review solutions, or developing new templates and playbooks to accelerate deal velocity.
You'll report to the VP & Deputy General Counsel and work in-office two days per week in San Francisco. The position is a contract role with a base salary range of $164,000–$276,100, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.
