Description

About Nimble

Nimble is an AI robotics company building the autonomous supply chain to power fast, efficient and economical commerce. We’re training robot AGI to power a proprietary generalist supply chain superhumanoid, the first robot in the world capable of performing thousands of tasks across the supply chain. We’ve raised over $220M at over $1B valuation and formed a strategic alliance with FedEx to build a national network of autonomous warehouses capable of generating many billions in annual revenue. We are a hardcore and obsessed team of the world’s best engineers and operators. If you are obsessed with your craft, enjoy a high-intensity and fast moving high impact environment, are super high agency in getting hard things done and want to be part of building the world’s most legendary robotics company at the most pivotal moment in history, we want to work with you.

We are on a mission to empower and inspire mankind to accomplish legendary feats by inventing robots that liberate us from the menial. We will accomplish this by training robot AGI to invent and build the Autonomous Supply Chain – everything from the inside of factories and warehouses to your front door – powered by generalist superhumanoids.

Our founding team comes from the AI labs at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon and our board of directors include famed robotics and AI legends including Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google and Director of Stanford’s AI Lab), Marc Raibert (founder of Boston Dynamics), and Sebastian Thrun (founder of GoogleX, Waymo; Stanford Professor and considered the father of autonomous vehicles).

Let’s be legendary.

Role summary

Owns full robot-stack test case management and regression testing for new software and firmware. Partners with members of Systems Integration team to build and maintain automated regression across SW modules, HIL, and SW/HW interfaces, closing the regression-testing deficit that today lets deployment-time defects slip through and protecting the expedited the validation timeline.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the full robot-stack regression suite: happy-path plus fault-injection and recovery testing across SW modules, HIL, and SW/HW interfaces.
  • Build automated integration tests and logged-data replay/scenario suites that catch performance drift across software and model updates before deployment.
  • Own test case management and traceability; define pass/fail criteria and triage failures with robotics SW, embedded, and HIL owners.
  • Integrate regression into CI so releases are validated at both the SW and full-robot level ahead of fleet rollout.
  • Partner with members of Systems Integration team on HIL coverage and with deployment teams to reproduce and prevent field-reported regressions.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in software test, robotics or embedded validation, or test automation (senior preferred).
  • Strong programming in Python and Rust (or C++); experience building automated test frameworks and CI pipelines.
  • Familiarity with robotics/embedded middleware (ROS/ROS2 or custom control frameworks), fault injection, and logged-data replay.
  • Rigorous about requirements traceability and defect management.

Compensation

The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $195,000/year. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. About this role

Nimble Robotics is building autonomous supply chain robots and needs someone to own the testing infrastructure that keeps their software and hardware working reliably at scale. In this role, you'd design and maintain a comprehensive regression suite covering the full robot stack—from individual software modules through hardware-in-the-loop testing to integrated system validation. You'd work across firmware, embedded systems, and robotics teams to catch defects before they reach the fleet, building automated tests that integrate into CI/CD pipelines and using fault injection and logged-data replay to surface performance drift early.

The position calls for someone with 3+ years in software test, robotics validation, or test automation, with strong programming chops in Python and Rust or C++. You should be comfortable with robotics middleware like ROS, understand embedded systems, and care deeply about requirements traceability and defect management. This is an in-office role in San Francisco with a salary range of $150K–$195K plus equity, suited for someone who thrives in a high-intensity environment and wants to directly impact a company backed by FedEx and led by robotics and AI leaders from Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, and companies like Google and Boston Dynamics.
