Description
Nimble is an AI robotics company building the autonomous supply chain to power fast, efficient and economical commerce. We’re training robot AGI to power a proprietary generalist supply chain superhumanoid, the first robot in the world capable of performing thousands of tasks across the supply chain. We’ve raised over $220M at over $1B valuation and formed a strategic alliance with FedEx to build a national network of autonomous warehouses capable of generating many billions in annual revenue. We are a hardcore and obsessed team of the world’s best engineers and operators. If you are obsessed with your craft, enjoy a high-intensity and fast moving high impact environment, are super high agency in getting hard things done and want to be part of building the world’s most legendary robotics company at the most pivotal moment in history, we want to work with you.
We are on a mission to empower and inspire mankind to accomplish legendary feats by inventing robots that liberate us from the menial. We will accomplish this by training robot AGI to invent and build the Autonomous Supply Chain – everything from the inside of factories and warehouses to your front door – powered by generalist superhumanoids.
Our founding team comes from the AI labs at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon and our board of directors include famed robotics and AI legends including Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google and Director of Stanford’s AI Lab), Marc Raibert (founder of Boston Dynamics), and Sebastian Thrun (founder of GoogleX, Waymo; Stanford Professor and considered the father of autonomous vehicles).
Let’s be legendary.
Role summary
Provides dedicated hands-on test execution for V6 validation inside SI&T, and creatively injects faults to surface failure modes that scripted P0 and automated/HIL suites miss. Runs high-volume test execution, stages benches, and captures high-fidelity data so engineers can focus on test design and development. May retain a facility-support component at Eccles depending on staffing.
Key responsibilities
- Execute hardware test plans from SI&T engineers across feasibility, various HW build phases, plus end-to-end system stress tests.
- Creatively inject faults into robot SW/HW to surface edge cases and failure modes beyond automated coverage.
- Diagnose robot and equipment failures at the component level using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Maintain meticulous data logging in Google Sheets and internal databases so engineering teams have accurate results for design iteration.
- Use and modify Python scripts to automate test sequences; support EOL and HIL test development; translate schematics into test setups.
Qualifications
- Associate/technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience with electro-mechanical or robotic systems.
- Hands-on hardware debug with multimeters and oscilloscopes; ability to read electrical schematics.
- Comfortable executing structured test plans and logging high-fidelity data.
- Basic Python and Linux CLI to run and tweak automated test sequences.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious.

About this role
Nimble Robotics is building autonomous robots for supply chain work, and this role sits at the center of validating that hardware before it reaches the field. You'll execute test plans on their V6 robot platform, run high-volume test cycles, stage benches, and deliberately inject faults to catch failure modes that automated testing misses. The work is hands-on: you'll diagnose component-level failures with multimeters and oscilloscopes, maintain detailed test logs in spreadsheets and internal databases, and write or modify Python scripts to automate test sequences. This is a position where you're directly enabling the engineering team to iterate faster by handling the execution and data capture they can't do themselves.
You'll need solid fundamentals in electro-mechanical or robotic systems—either from a technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience—plus comfort reading schematics and working with basic test equipment. Python and Linux CLI proficiency is required to run and tweak automated sequences. The role demands precision, dependability, and genuine attention to detail; you're the person catching what matters before it becomes a field problem. This is in-office work in South San Francisco, paying $45–$58 per hour depending on experience.
If you thrive in high-intensity environments, take ownership of hard problems, and want to see your work directly impact a robotics company backed by major names in AI and autonomous systems, this could be a strong fit. The company is well-funded and moving fast, and they're explicit about valuing resourcefulness and agency.
