About this role
Langan's Cleveland office is looking for an environmental permitting and compliance professional to manage multi-media regulatory programs for industrial and commercial clients. The role spans air quality, water and wastewater, stormwater, waste management, storage tanks, and spill prevention—requiring you to interpret regulations, prepare permit applications, conduct compliance audits, and develop monitoring and contingency plans. You'll split time between desktop work (emissions calculations, technical reports, regulatory strategy) and field support (site assessments, sampling, inspections).
The position suits someone with a bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering and two to five years of consulting or compliance experience. You'll need OSHA HAZWOPER certification, proficiency in standard office software, and ideally familiarity with air modeling tools.
