Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
Role Overview
Verition is seeking a motivated Operations Specialist to join its FX Operations team. The Specialist will be responsible for daily cash and position reconciliation across a high volume of transactions, multiple accounts, counterparties, and asset classes, leveraging a suite of internal and third-party systems. You will work closely with Trading, Technology, and other Operations teams to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of breaks.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations across internal systems, external platforms, and Prime Brokers.
- Escalate and drive timely resolution of outstanding breaks.
- Identify process gaps and partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
- Support trade capture for FX strategies. Track and manage trade lifecycle events including expiries, cashflows, and marking positions
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in investment management or fund operations.
- Working knowledge of productions FX spot, forwards, NDF, swaps, and exotic FX options.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle.
- Familiarity with OMS platforms and prime broker portals Bloomberg AIM, Orchestrade, or Geneva experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 (USD). In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as geographic location, work experience, qualifications, and skill level.
