About this role

Velocity Electronics is looking for a Regional Manager of Quality and Operations to oversee quality standards and lead a team in their Austin warehouse. You'd own customer conformance, manage inspectors and technicians, conduct product inspections, and drive continuous improvement across the operation. The role requires coordinating with internal teams, customers, and external partners to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

This position demands a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Component Engineering, plus at least five years inspecting and classifying semiconductor and electronic components with demonstrated accuracy in conformance decisions. You'll need four or more years managing technical teams, working knowledge of ISO 9001, and familiarity with failure analysis methods like decapsulation and solder testing. Prior Aerospace and Defense industry experience is preferred. The contract role is in-office only in Austin, Texas.

If you have deep inspection expertise in electronics, hands-on team leadership experience, and the technical foundation to evaluate product acceptability and train others on quality standards, this could be a strong fit. The role centers on balancing operational execution with quality leadership—making it suited to someone who wants to lead a function rather than just perform inspections.
