About this role

TerraPower's Natrium Demonstration Plant in Kemmerer needs a Commissioning Engineer to bridge design and operations during a critical phase of advanced reactor development. You'd report to the Commissioning Manager and own the integrated planning, testing, and documentation that brings a nuclear facility from design through startup—coordinating across TerraPower teams, subcontractors, partners, and customers to align commissioning schedules, develop procedures, and validate that plant systems perform as designed.

The role demands someone with at least five years in commercial nuclear operations, ideally with Senior Reactor Operator or Shift Technical Advisor credentials, plus five years of hands-on nuclear plant experience. You'll need a strong foundation in safety-related systems, nuclear regulations, and work control processes, along with practical skills in scheduling tools like P6 Primavera and configuration management. The position values deep technical writing ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to navigate competing design constraints while applying industry best practices.

This hybrid position in Wyoming suits an engineer ready to move beyond individual contributor work into coordinating complex, multi-organizational efforts on a next-generation reactor project. The salary range is $116,495–$145,610.
