About this role
Path Robotics is looking for a Hardware Technician to build and deploy robotic systems that combine AI with real-world mechanical and electrical integration. You'll spend your time assembling complex hardware, performing light fabrication work (cutting, bending, drilling, welding), troubleshooting systems, and collaborating closely with hardware engineers on design improvements and process optimization. This is hands-on work in a fast-moving operations environment where you'll support everything from initial builds through field deployment.
You should have formal technical training—a trade certification, associate degree in engineering technology, or equivalent industry experience—plus proven hands-on skills in assembling and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with fabrication or machine shop work is essential, as is comfort handling small, precision components with meticulous attention to detail. The role demands physical capability (lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders, working in awkward positions) and the flexibility to adapt quickly as priorities shift. Familiarity with tools like Polyworks or FARO is a plus but not required.
Be aware that this position includes 35% travel, both domestic and international. Path Robotics offers competitive benefits including free daily lunch, flexible PTO, comprehensive health coverage, strong parental leave, and a 401(k) plan. The role is based in Columbus, Ohio and requires in-office work.
