About this role

EdgeConneX is seeking a Director of Public Affairs to lead government and stakeholder engagement efforts in Texas, where the company operates data center facilities. This role sits at the intersection of legislative strategy, community relations, and corporate advocacy, requiring someone who can navigate state and local policy processes while building relationships with elected officials, regulators, and industry partners. You'll develop lobbying strategies on issues affecting data centers and edge infrastructure, monitor and analyze legislation, manage coalitions and outside advisors, and prepare policy materials and testimony for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings four to six years of government affairs or advocacy experience, ideally with prior work as a Texas legislative staffer, agency official, or campaign manager. You should have substantive knowledge of data centers, utility regulation, electricity markets, or economic development, combined with a thorough grasp of how Texas government and local governance actually work.
