About this role

Echo Neurotechnologies is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to join their early-stage brain-computer interface startup in San Francisco. This is a bench-focused role centered on precision PCB work—soldering and reworking fine-pitch components like 0201 discretes and BGAs under a microscope, executing board modifications, and troubleshooting hardware issues. You'll also run functional tests, support incoming inspection, maintain lab equipment, and partner with engineers to refine designs. The work is hands-on and detail-oriented, requiring high accuracy and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate has strong practical experience with fine-pitch soldering and PCB rework, comfort working under magnification on delicate components, and familiarity with electronics testing and lab equipment. A formal degree is not required; what matters is demonstrated skill and precision. Experience with IPC standards and medical device environments is valued but not essential. You should be a self-starter comfortable adapting in a startup setting, where your contributions directly shape the product and impact.

This role offers $100,000–$115,000 in salary, stock options, comprehensive benefits, and a 401(k) with matching contributions.
