About this role

Leading technical excellence for industrial facility projects at Olsson means overseeing quality assurance and design review for a collaborative engineering team while maintaining direct involvement in high-impact work. You'll attend client meetings, manage project staff on technical matters, and travel to construction sites across varying conditions—bringing hands-on leadership to projects like ethanol plant improvements, renewable natural gas facilities, and ag-industrial process designs. This role demands someone with at least 10 years of consulting experience, a strong engineering and design foundation, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D.

The position suits professionals who thrive in team environments and want ownership over meaningful work that affects communities. Olsson emphasizes collaborative culture, professional development tailored to your career path, and a disciplined yet flexible approach to how work gets done. You'll find competitive benefits including 401(k) matching, health coverage, paid time off, wellness programs, and performance-based bonuses, along with the possibility of flexible work arrangements. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting and Design is preferred, though your experience and technical capabilities will be the primary measure of fit for this Omaha-based, in-office role.
