Responsibilities of Unarmed Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information
- Conduct general patrols on foot and within a vehicle to check for security violations like unsafe conditions or unauthorized persons
- Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required
- Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
- Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages
- Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications of Unarmed Security Officers:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid security guard card/license (Marksman Security can assist)
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 75 lbs, completing foot patrols, sitting, standing, walking, driving for a significant period of time, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications of Unarmed Security Officers:
- 1 year experience as a security officer or in a customer service, retail, hotel or restaurant position (PREFERRED)
- Bi-lingual considered a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

You'll interact regularly with customers, visitors, and vendors while staying alert to security violations, unsafe conditions, and potential theft. The work is physical—expect extended periods standing, walking, driving, and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds in various weather conditions.
The position requires you to be at least 21 with a high school diploma or GED, and you'll need to obtain a security guard license (which Marksman can help with) and pass a background check and drug screen. One year of prior security or customer service experience is preferred but not required. The company pays $18 per hour with paid time off, paid holidays, medical and dental insurance, and clear pathways for advancement. If you're bilingual or comfortable with Microsoft Office, those are additional assets.
