About this role
Nox Group's Survey Technician role centers on precision field layout and data collection for construction projects across their growing portfolio of companies. You'll operate Trimble RTS and GPS equipment to establish accurate locations for equipment pads, trenches, conduit pathways, and structural elements, then verify installations before backfill and collect as-built documentation. The work demands strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret construction drawings and BIM/CAD models, and close coordination with the Survey Superintendent, project management, and VDC teams to catch and resolve discrepancies early.
This position suits someone with three to five years of survey or construction field experience who is comfortable with technical equipment and comfortable working in active construction zones. You'll need to handle physical demands—standing and walking extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and traveling to project sites—and maintain equipment calibration and documentation standards. The role is safety-sensitive and requires a valid driver's license, drug screening, and background check.
Based in Austin, this is an in-office position with a company that emphasizes growth, safety, and team collaboration. If you have hands-on survey experience, solid communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced industrial construction environment, this could be a fit.
