About this role

Working in WellPower's 24/7 Walk-In Crisis Center means providing immediate psychiatric nursing care to people experiencing mental health emergencies, regardless of their ability to pay. You'll conduct mental health assessments, manage crisis interventions, administer medications including intramuscular injections, draw labs, monitor vitals, and coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team. The role demands clinical judgment in high-stress moments while maintaining a trauma-informed approach and strong professional boundaries.

This position suits nurses with at least two years of experience, ideally in behavioral health or outpatient settings, who are comfortable working with people managing severe and persistent mental illness. You'll need an active Colorado license (LPN or RN), physical stamina for a fast-paced environment, and the ability to shift between crisis response and case management tasks. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL adds $2.50 per hour to the base rate.

The salary ranges from $30.12–$31.62 per hour for LPNs to $40.56–$48.56 per hour for RNs, with most placements near the midpoint based on experience. The position is on-site in Denver and offers WellPower's full benefits package.
