About this role

Le Suprême, Method Co.'s French brasserie in Detroit, is looking for a line cook committed to learning classical French technique in a kitchen that prioritizes craft over shortcuts. You'll work across multiple stations—sauces, proteins, pastry, and garde manger—executing dishes with precision while mastering foundational skills like mother sauces, butchery, and proper sauté. The role demands attention to detail, consistency, and a willingness to be mentored by chefs who value discipline and development.

This is a full-time, in-office position suited for someone with a genuine interest in cooking as a discipline rather than just a job. You'll need a strong work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, the physical stamina to stand and move for eight hours, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. The restaurant operates an all-day brasserie with an extensive wine program and in-house pastry and bakery, so the kitchen runs with high standards across multiple disciplines.

Method Co. offers health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible scheduling, and paid time off. If you're serious about building your foundation in French cooking and want to work in a kitchen that treats technique as non-negotiable, this role offers genuine mentorship and structured growth.
