About this role
Working in Anthology's kitchen means executing refined cuisine within one of Detroit's most distinctive event spaces—a restored historic building that demands the same precision and care in the kitchen as it does in the dining room. As a Line Cook, you'll be part of a culinary team handling everything from intimate weddings to large corporate functions, where consistency and attention to detail directly shape the guest experience. The role requires strong fundamentals: solid knife skills, disciplined mise en place, reliable execution of recipes and plating standards, and the ability to maintain a clean, organized station under pressure.
This position suits someone with one to two years of professional kitchen experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in the craft of cooking. You'll need to be detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable with the physical demands of service—standing for eight-hour shifts, moving quickly between stations, and handling loads up to fifty pounds. The schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays, which is standard for event-driven hospitality.
Method Co. offers competitive hourly pay, health and dental benefits, paid time off, and employee dining perks across their hotel and restaurant portfolio. Beyond immediate compensation, there are genuine opportunities to grow within a design-focused hospitality company that values thoughtful execution and a supportive kitchen culture.
