About this role

Le Supreme, a modern French brasserie housed in Detroit's historic Book Tower, is seeking a baker to produce the breads, pastries, and desserts that anchor its elevated yet approachable dining program. You'll execute classic French techniques with precision and consistency, managing everything from dough handling to seasonal menu development while maintaining the exacting standards the restaurant demands. This role sits within Method Co., a boutique hospitality group known for design-driven, culturally rooted concepts, so you'd be part of a collaborative culinary team working toward a shared vision of quality and craft.

The position requires one to two years of professional baking or pastry experience, ideally with exposure to French or artisanal techniques. You'll need strong fundamentals in dough work and pastry, the ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining speed, and excellent organizational skills to manage inventory, storage, and production timelines. Early mornings, weekends, and holidays are part of the schedule, and the work is physically demanding—expect to stand for eight-hour shifts, lift up to fifty pounds, and move quickly through a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Method Co. offers competitive hourly pay, health and dental benefits, sick time and vacation, and employee dining perks across their properties. If you're drawn to working in a thoughtfully designed hospitality setting where craftsmanship matters and you thrive in early-morning, high-precision work, this Detroit-based role could be a strong fit.
