About this role

Supporting LAFC's equipment operations across three competitive levels requires someone who can juggle logistics, inventory, and laundry while staying responsive to the unpredictable demands of a professional soccer environment. You'll manage all gear for the First Team, Second Team (MLS Next Pro), and Academy, handling everything from daily training equipment to match-day uniforms, travel packing, and post-game collection. The role demands meticulous record-keeping, vendor coordination, compliance with MLS regulations, and the ability to anticipate needs before they become problems.

This is not a nine-to-five position. You'll work nights, weekends, and holidays aligned with the match calendar, travel with teams to away games and tournaments, and respond to urgent requests outside standard hours. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments where priorities shift frequently and multiple tasks overlap. You need at least two years of similar equipment management experience, strong communication skills to work effectively with coaches, players, and staff, and the physical capability to handle heavy loads and constant movement.

A bachelor's degree is preferred, and soccer or MLS background is a plus. The compensation range is up to $75,000 annually. This role reports to the First Team Equipment Manager and suits someone who sees equipment management as essential to team success—someone who takes pride in the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a professional club running smoothly.
