- Coverage Area: May include locations within a 40-mile radius under NHCH authority
About the Opportunity
We are seeking two Family Practice Physicians to provide comprehensive primary care services within the Naval Health Clinic Hawaii (NHCH) network.
This full-time contract opportunity supports active-duty service members, their families, and other beneficiaries in a military treatment facility setting.
Physicians may provide care across multiple clinic locations within the NHCH network and will work within established Department of Defense, TRICARE, and facility-specific clinical requirements.
Practice Locations
Care may be delivered at:
- NHCH Headquarters / Shipyard Clinic
- Branch Health Clinic (BHC) Makalapa
- BHC Kaneohe Bay
- Additional branch clinics and annexes within the NHCH network
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide a full spectrum of Family Practice services within granted clinical privileges
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients
- Prescribe appropriate medical care
- Deliver preventive care, including routine physicals and health maintenance
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Coordinate specialty referrals
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and TRICARE program requirements
- Respond to clinical emergencies and carry a beeper during assigned duty hours
- Provide mentorship, clinical oversight, and training to healthcare personnel
- Participate in in-service training and continuing medical education activities
- Adhere to federal, DoD, and facility-specific clinical protocols and standards
Work Environment & Requirements
- Military Treatment Facility (MTF) environment
- Must meet all credentialing, privileging, and compliance requirements prior to start
- May be required to provide coverage across multiple clinic locations within a 40-mile radius
Requirements
Education
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Graduate of an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school
- OR equivalent with ECFMG certification and USMLE completion
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent Family Practice experience within the last 4 years
- OR completion of a Family Practice residency within the last 2 years
Board Certification
- Board Certified in Family Practice
Licensure
- Active, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license
Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

About this role
Transformational Health Network is recruiting two Family Practice Physicians for Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, a military treatment facility serving active-duty service members, their families, and other eligible beneficiaries across the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam area. This full-time contract role offers comprehensive primary care practice with the flexibility of multiple clinic locations—including the main shipyard clinic, branch health clinics in Makalapa and Kaneohe Bay, and other NHCH network sites within a 40-mile radius.
You'll deliver the full spectrum of family medicine: preventive care, acute diagnosis and treatment, diagnostic ordering and interpretation, specialty coordination, and emergency response. The position also includes teaching and mentorship responsibilities for healthcare personnel. All work occurs within established Department of Defense and TRICARE protocols, and you'll carry a beeper during assigned duty hours to respond to clinical needs.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian school (or ECFMG certification with completed USMLE), be Board Certified in Family Practice, maintain an active unrestricted U.S. medical license, and have either three years of recent Family Practice experience or completion of a Family Practice residency within the last two years.
