About this role
LandDesign's Dallas office is looking for a Designer II to support the full lifecycle of landscape architecture projects, from initial concept development through construction documentation and site delivery. You'd work across digital and hand drawing, CAD production, plant specification, and site analysis while collaborating with civil engineers, planners, and client teams. The role involves both independent execution on routine tasks and detailed project work under guidance, with responsibility for mentoring Designer I staff and interns as the firm grows.
This position suits someone with a degree in landscape architecture or related field who is comfortable moving between creative design work and technical documentation. You'll need solid proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools like SketchUp or Lumion, plus the ability to interpret and produce both hand-drawn and digital plans. The work requires initiative to deepen knowledge in plant materials, construction methods, and evolving graphic standards while representing the firm confidently in design meetings.
