About this role

Holder Construction is seeking an experienced scheduler to lead scheduling operations on a Richmond-based project. You would own the full lifecycle of construction schedules—building and maintaining baseline schedules with 2,500+ activities using CPM methodology, running weekly updates through job walks and superintendent input, and managing all deliverables from critical path reports to 6-week look-aheads. The role demands strong technical proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel, particularly for resource loading, variance analysis, earned value tracking, and Time Impact Analysis reporting. You'll also interface directly with clients to resolve schedule concerns and mentor junior schedulers as they develop.

This position suits someone with at least five years of commercial construction management or scheduling experience who understands construction processes well enough to flag risks and propose solutions. You should be comfortable working with minimal supervision, managing competing priorities, and communicating clearly—both in writing and verbally—across a large team that includes project supervision, owners, and trade partners. If you have prior experience training junior schedulers, that's a meaningful plus.

Holder Construction offers a structured career development program, annual bonuses, comprehensive health and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The role is full-time and in-office in Richmond, Virginia. Background screening and substance abuse testing are required as a condition of employment.
