About this role

Syska Hennessy Group is looking for an Electrical Engineer II–IV to lead technical design and project delivery from their Richmond office. You'll take on a senior role that blends hands-on engineering with client-facing leadership—designing electrical systems for complex buildings, managing project budgets and schedules, directing design teams, and representing the firm across all stakeholder interactions. This is a position where your technical depth directly shapes project outcomes, from system calculations and CAD/REVIT work through construction administration.

The role demands at least 1.5 to 7+ years of MEP design experience, strong proficiency in electrical systems design and CAD tools, and a foundation credential (FE/EIT required; PE preferred). You'll need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a genuine commitment to professional development. Beyond the technical requirements, success here means balancing hands-on design work with business development, quality assurance oversight, and mentoring team members.

Syska offers a structured work arrangement—nine hours Monday through Thursday in-office, plus four remote hours on Friday—alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) match, professional development support, and transit/parking assistance. The salary range is $63,719–$115,651 depending on experience and location factors.
