About this role

Woolpert's Hydrographic Survey team is building capacity in Wasilla and actively recruiting experienced surveyors to support projects across the western United States. This role combines fieldwork and office-based analysis, with roughly 100 days of travel annually conducting multibeam and singlebeam surveys, GNSS topographic work, terrestrial LiDAR scanning, and vessel mobilization for private and public clients. You'll process and analyze the data you collect using industry-standard software like CARIS, QINSy, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and contribute to control network adjustments and 3D visualization deliverables.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, marine science, or a related field, and brings hands-on experience in marine environments—particularly small vessel and coastal waterway operations. Familiarity with Trimble GPS systems, Global Mapper, and LiDAR processing is valued. Beyond technical skills, Woolpert seeks someone self-motivated and resourceful who thrives in a marine-focused organization and can manage shifting priorities with practical judgment.

The position offers a salary range of $59,200 to $98,800 annually, comprehensive health and dental coverage, flexible vacation, and a path to firm ownership through Woolpert's principal program. Note that this is currently an expression of interest rather than an immediate opening, applicants must already have U.S. work authorization, and the role is based in-office in Wasilla.
