About this role

PlayStation Global's Studio IT team is looking for a senior infrastructure leader to own the design and operation of production systems serving a massive global gaming platform. You'd be responsible for the full lifecycle of Linux and Windows environments, enterprise storage architectures (particularly Ceph), virtualization, and high-availability infrastructure. This isn't a hands-on-only role—you'd set technical standards, mentor Systems Administrators, review their work, and drive incident response as the senior authority.

The position demands at least five years in enterprise infrastructure leadership, with deep expertise in server hardware, distributed storage, and production-scale systems administration. You'd need strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell, hands-on knowledge of Active Directory and DNS, and experience designing monitoring and observability solutions. The role requires flexibility for on-call coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Based in Los Angeles and in-office, it offers a salary range of $155,900 to $233,900, plus Sony's benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k) matching, and employee discounts.

This role suits someone who has progressed from systems administration into architecture and leadership, who enjoys both technical depth and team development, and who thrives in fast-paced production environments where infrastructure directly impacts the experience of millions of users.
