About this role

AvePoint is looking for a Business Development Representative to prospect new customer accounts and build their early-stage pipeline in the corporate security and data management space. You'll research and qualify potential organizations, develop outreach campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn, and work closely with the sales team to move leads into qualified opportunities. The role requires you to understand customers' IT challenges and position AvePoint's solutions effectively—balancing independent prospecting work with collaborative support for account executives.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of outreach experience, ideally in software sales, along with familiarity using sales automation and prospecting tools. You'll need strong communication and listening skills, solid organizational abilities, and the capacity to grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly to non-technical buyers. This is a full-time, in-office position in New York City with a salary range of $50,000–$65,000, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO.

This role suits someone early in their sales career who wants hands-on experience in B2B prospecting and is ready to grow within a larger organization. If you're self-motivated, comfortable with rejection, and genuinely interested in learning the corporate security landscape while building pipeline, it's worth exploring.
