Description
- Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, build and maintain our deployment pipelines, keeping our software delivery fast and efficient
- IaC: Using IaC tools, including terraform and ansible to provision both cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Collaboration: Work closely with our trading and development teams to reduce bottlenecks and improve our systems
- Monitoring and Alerting: Not only monitor our systems but build out new metrics, alerts and dashboard to give greater visibility into the health of the system
- Troubleshooting: Handle real-time operational issues in a efficient and prompt manner
- SQL: Work with our SQL databases, including storage, security and performance
- Other duties as assigned

This role is 4 days on, 4 days off rotation, covering US evenings and Weekends
About this role
Dime Line Trading is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their Chicago office on a rotating 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule covering US evenings and weekends. You'll own infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Ansible, manage both cloud and on-premises systems, and write Python scripts to eliminate manual work. The role demands strong Linux fundamentals, SQL database knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues in real time while juggling competing priorities.
This position suits someone with proven DevOps experience who thrives in a fast-paced trading environment. You'll collaborate directly with trading and development teams to identify bottlenecks, design monitoring and alerting systems that provide real visibility into system health, and respond promptly to operational incidents. Python and SQL experience are strongly preferred, as is familiarity with Kubernetes.
