About this role

Excel Sports Management's legal team is seeking a contract manager to handle the full lifecycle of agreements across their brand marketing and sports properties divisions. You'd spend your time drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts—primarily brand marketing deals, event services agreements, vendor arrangements, and talent/influencer contracts—while identifying and mitigating legal risks. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, and business teams, as well as external partners, to keep contracts moving through approval and execution smoothly.

This position suits someone with 2–4 years of legal experience who thrives on organization and detail work. A JD and New York bar admission (preferred) are required. The ideal candidate combines independent judgment with strong cross-functional teamwork, can communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers, and brings a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset rather than a purely defensive one. Prior experience in sports, media, or entertainment law is strongly preferred and would be a meaningful advantage.

Based in Excel's New York office on a contract basis, the role pays $100,000–$120,000 annually plus eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus. This is not a sponsorship-eligible position.
