Responsibilities
-Prepare and deliver accurate freight quotations for inland transportation services.
-Analyze cost structures, carrier rates, and operational data to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
-Coordinate with carriers, agents, and vendors to obtain and validate up-to-date rate information.
-Support customers and partners by developing rate proposals and assisting with tender submissions.
-Maintain and regularly update pricing databases, rate sheets, and cost models.
-Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to adjust pricing strategies as needed.
-Ensure all quotes and pricing activities comply with company policies and relevant industry regulations.
-Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Customer Service) to address pricing-related inquiries and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.
-0-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics pricing, or a related field (preferred).
-Solid understanding of international shipping processes and freight terms (e.g., Incoterms).
-Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
-Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
-Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with TMS, ERP systems, or pricing tools is a plus.
