About this role
The Vascular Care Group in Portland is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care to vascular patients, working collaboratively with attending surgeons and clinical leadership. You would manage the full patient journey—from initial evaluation through post-procedure follow-up—performing diagnostic exams, ordering and administering treatments, assisting in surgeries, and maintaining detailed records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Beyond direct patient care, the role extends to quality assurance oversight, community education, and support for the practice's IAC accreditation requirements.
This position suits someone with at least three years of vascular PA experience and a year of outpatient care background, though the latter is preferred rather than required. You'll need current Maine licensure and NCCPA certification, along with the clinical judgment to work independently within your scope while respecting the supervising physician's authority. The role also involves operational and administrative dimensions—peer review for insurance matters, policy development, community outreach, and marketing initiatives—so comfort with both clinical and practice-management responsibilities is important.
The salary range is $95,000 to $150,000 annually, with flexibility based on your experience and skill set. This is a full-time, in-office position in Portland.
