About this role
Petra Funds Group, a fund administration provider serving private equity and debt managers, is looking for a Tax Manager to join their energy investment practice in Houston. You'd be working within a specialized team supporting an alternative asset manager focused on oil and gas, where your primary focus would be partnership taxation, joint venture structures, and multi-entity fund compliance. The role spans tax return preparation (partnership returns, K-1 packages, corporate returns), coordination with external tax advisors, investor reporting, and ad hoc analysis—with particular emphasis on oil and gas-specific issues like depletion, recapture, and intangible drilling costs.

Willingness to adopt AI tools is expected.
