About this role
TaxBit is building AI-powered tax compliance automation for the digital economy, and this role puts you at the center of that mission. You'd design and deploy agentic AI systems that operate autonomously across complex financial data, working directly with enterprise customers to solve real compliance problems. The work spans the full lifecycle—from prompt engineering and agent architecture through production monitoring and iteration based on user feedback—using AWS-native tools like Bedrock, Strands Agents, and AgentCore.
You'll need at least three years of software engineering experience with at least one year shipping LLM-powered applications in production. Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS AI/ML services, agentic patterns (tool use, RAG, memory management, multi-agent orchestration), and LLM evaluation is essential. Python or TypeScript proficiency and comfort working across the stack are expected. Beyond technical chops, the role rewards high ownership—you care about what happens after code ships—and a genuine commitment to building AI systems that are trustworthy and reliable in a compliance-sensitive environment.
The position is full-time, in-office three days per week in Salt Lake City, with a base salary of $130,000–$170,000 plus equity, benefits, and a 401(k) that includes crypto options. You'd work in an agile environment alongside product, customer success, data teams, and compliance stakeholders, collaborating to ensure AI outputs meet both accuracy and regulatory standards.
