About this role

Rhode Island Primary Care Physician's Corporation is looking for a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations across its multi-site primary care practices. You'd be the backbone of day-to-day patient care—rooming patients, taking vitals, performing EKGs, administering vaccines, and conducting health screenings. Beyond clinical tasks, you'd handle medication reconciliation, prior authorizations, care coordination follow-ups, and the administrative work that keeps a practice running: scheduling, phone calls, documentation, and inventory management. The role demands someone comfortable moving between direct patient interaction and behind-the-desk work, with a solid grasp of medical terminology and EHR systems.

This position suits a self-starter who thrives in a structured environment. While a CMA certification is preferred, it's not required—what matters is strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff. You'll work standard business hours with occasional extended shifts, fixed to either the Cranston or Narragansett location, with no evenings or weekends. The salary range is $19–$24 per hour, and benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, an HRA, 401(k) eligibility after one year, and 18 PTO days annually.
