About this role
Gates Hudson & Associates is hiring a Leasing Consultant for one of its residential communities in Charles Town. You'd be the primary point of contact for prospective residents—greeting them, touring available units, qualifying their needs, and closing leases. The role blends sales with genuine customer service: you'll manage leads and paperwork while also handling resident inquiries, retention calls, and follow-ups on maintenance requests. Beyond leasing, you'll keep the office and model units tour-ready, conduct move-in and move-out inspections, and help shape community engagement through events and feedback to the Property Manager.
This position suits someone who thrives on relationship-building and enjoys a fast-paced, people-facing environment. You'll need strong communication skills, a service-oriented attitude, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks—from qualifying prospects to addressing resident concerns to staying current on local market trends. While a high school diploma and customer service instincts are the baseline, two or more years of leasing experience and a background in sales or hospitality would strengthen your candidacy. Expect weekend availability, as most prospect tours happen then. The role pays $21–$23 per hour and is based in-office.
