About this role
DLR Group seeks a Regional Sector Leader for its Industrial Workplace sector in Denver (or Phoenix). You'll own the growth and profitability of this sector within your geographic region, working toward concrete targets: 13% annual profit, 10% growth, and 65% of projects profitable. This is a leadership role that demands both business acumen and design credibility—you'll develop strategy with the Global Sector Leader, build and mentor teams, drive new client wins, and establish yourself as a recognized industry expert through speaking, publication, and design awards.
The day-to-day involves close collaboration across the firm: working with business development, regional leadership, and design staff to pursue and execute work; hiring and managing sector-specific talent; and maintaining regular strategic communication with your Global Sector Leader. You'll also travel to support project acquisition, client meetings, and firm activities as needed. Success requires strong technical knowledge of integrated design disciplines, proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and genuine commitment to both profitability and design excellence.
This role suits someone with a background in architecture, interior design, or engineering (bachelor's degree required, professional license preferred) who has demonstrated leadership experience and is ready to drive business growth while maintaining design standards. You'll need to be collaborative, customer-focused, and comfortable with accountability—DLR Group is 100% employee-owned, so your success directly impacts everyone at the firm.
