About this role

VML's Detroit Experience Studio is seeking volunteers to support an immersive program that teaches students the fundamentals of working in a creative agency. Depending on your background and availability, you could lead a class in your area of expertise, mentor a group of students throughout a cohort, assist with classroom logistics, or help organize program events. The program runs either as summer workshops (July–August 2026) or a fall cohort (October 2026–January 2027), with in-person classes held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4–6 pm at The Marquette Building in Detroit.

To volunteer, you'll need to commit to the full duration of whichever program you join, attend in-person (unless remote support is arranged), complete a background check, and participate in training to work with students. Meals are provided for volunteers attending classes. Applications close in September 2026 for the fall cohort. This is an opportunity to give back to emerging talent while contributing directly to a major creative agency's community investment in Detroit.
