About this role
GoodVets is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join their Chicago hospital and support their veterinarians across a diverse caseload. You'll handle the full range of technical responsibilities—venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and patient care—while helping doctors work more efficiently and maintain the high standard of care their clients expect. The role demands someone who stays composed under pressure, especially during emergencies.
You'll need a current CVT or RVT license and prior surgery experience. The position requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. GoodVets emphasizes a mentorship-driven culture and values team members who are adaptable, willing to learn new techniques, and genuinely passionate about animal care. If you're looking for a role where you can make a direct impact on patient outcomes while working in a collaborative environment, this could be a strong fit.
The compensation ranges from $22 to $30 per hour. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, paid holidays, and employee discounts on veterinary services and products.
