About this role
Lone Star Circle of Care, a non-profit FQHC in Austin, is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN to serve underserved populations in Central Texas. This role offers autonomy in clinical decision-making within a collaborative group setting, where you'll work with patients facing significant barriers to care. The position requires comfort working independently while also consulting colleagues and coordinating with community partners and emergency services to ensure appropriate patient safety and care transitions, including telemedicine capabilities.
The ideal candidate is mission-driven and thrives in fast-paced clinical environments. You'll need strong EHR proficiency, virtual communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex cases with both independence and teamwork. This is suited to someone genuinely committed to expanding access to quality healthcare for underserved communities rather than seeking a traditional private practice model.
Compensation is competitive with a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 403(b) plan; 20 days of vacation annually plus 3 personal days, 6 sick days, and 7 holidays; an annual continuing education stipend with 5 paid days off; professional licensing fee and membership dues reimbursement; and eligibility for federal and state student loan repayment programs.
