Your Responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff on a wide variety of Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects—from planning and design through bidding and construction.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring project schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload.
- Strengthen and expand client relationships and workload through responsive, value-driven engineering solutions.
- Guide and mentor staff to cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships by proactively identifying new business opportunities through networking, thoughtful engagement, proposal preparation, and client presentations, supporting the growth of our regional business development program.
- Partner with division leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management throughout the western U.S.
- Play a central role in talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational sustainability.
What we're looking for:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Utah (or ability to obtain such a license)
- 10+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience
- Project management experience including development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and successful execution of engineering projects
- Strong staff mentorship and performance management capabilities
- Experience with strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills

This position requires a civil engineering degree, PE licensure in Utah (or the ability to obtain it), and at least ten years in water/wastewater engineering with demonstrated project management experience. You should have a track record developing proposals, managing budgets, and executing projects successfully. Strong mentorship and performance management skills are essential, as you'll guide staff development and succession planning while building a high-performing team culture.
The role is based in Salt Lake City and requires in-office work.
