About this role
ICG Medical is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth in their Australian homecare territory. As a temporary, in-office role based in Melbourne, you'll be responsible for researching market opportunities, identifying prospects within healthcare organizations, and converting leads into signed contracts. This involves a mix of strategic planning—developing client acquisition strategies informed by market research—and hands-on execution, including cold calling, direct outreach, and relationship management across hospitals and healthcare systems.
The ideal candidate brings proven business development experience in recruitment or staffing, ideally with exposure to temp/contract recruitment or healthcare recruitment campaigns. You'll need strong cold calling skills, the ability to understand client needs and articulate value propositions, and comfort negotiating contracts and managing sales pipelines. Beyond technical capability, ICG Medical is looking for someone with a hunter mentality and genuine drive to hit targets—someone self-motivated, relationship-focused, and genuinely invested in connecting the right talent solutions to healthcare providers.
This role suits someone ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment. Compensation is market-related salary plus commission, reflecting the performance-driven nature of the position.
