About this role
At CannonDesign's Dallas office, you'd serve as a senior design contributor on large-scale architectural projects, responsible for moving concepts from early design phases through construction administration. Working in-office on a contract basis, you'd translate client aspirations into built solutions while collaborating across disciplines—architects, interior designers, engineers, and sustainability specialists—to develop cohesive design strategies. A significant part of your role involves creating compelling 2D and 3D visualizations and leading client presentations to communicate design intent persuasively.
This position requires at least eight years of professional architecture experience and proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and real-time rendering tools like Enscape or V-Ray, supported by Adobe Creative Cloud skills. You'll need a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, strong knowledge of building codes and materials, and the ability to coordinate multiple disciplines. Architectural registration, LEED accreditation, and experience with computational design tools like Grasshopper are preferred but not required.
The role suits someone ready to step into design leadership while continuing to grow—you'll mentor emerging professionals and help shape your office's design culture. If you're comfortable managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and thrive in integrated, collaborative environments where sustainability and performance-based design are central, this contract opportunity aligns with that profile. A portfolio demonstrating your visualization and design development work is essential for your application.
