The Real Talk

Right now we've got four product pillars that need coordination, Product Managers (Revenue Engineers) who need unblocking, and frankly, we need someone who can run with this independently.

If you're looking for a well-defined role with clear swim lanes and quarterly OKRs already mapped out, this isn't it. But if you've done product leadership at a vertical SaaS company or a services-to software hybrid where you had to figure out a complex domain on the fly, we should talk.

What's Actually Going On Here

One of the biggest challenges dental labs face is administrative chaos. We build the software, outsourced CAD design, and workflow automation that fixes that.

A Command Center is the surface a specific person in a dental lab — the designer, the QC tech, the shipping coordinator — is supposed to start their day in. The measure of whether one worked isn't whether it shipped. It's whether the person whose job it was built for opens it in a normal week.

Two things are missing between here and there. Nobody has written the spec that says what a Command Center must contain, what's optional, and what stops it shipping. And nobody is in the labs finding out what those jobs actually look like.

You'd own both.

What You'll Own

Own the Command Center framework:

  • Write the spec - what every Command Center must have, what's optional, what stops it from shipping
  • Get into dental labs in person and create products tailored to them
  • Measure it on whether the lab role it was built for actually uses in a normal week

Keep the pillars coordinated:

  • Unified Digital Intake (our wedge product)
  • AI-Powered Quality Control (RX and scan validation)
  • EviSmart Comm (case communication - this one's urgent, competitive pressure)
  • Autonomous CAD (AI-powered design automation)

Unblock the Team:

  • Jump in when squads hit walls - could be technical, design, cross-functional, whatever
  • Help scope their 30/60/90 gates
  • Review gate deliverables before they come to leadership
  • Spot dependencies across squads and actually resolve them

Run product operations:

  • Own the roadmap (what ships when, what we're trading off)
  • Weekly product sync across squads
  • Work with CTO/GM on engineering priorities
  • Coordinate AI squads across different locations

Stay close to customers:

  • Get on customer calls - see the "losing customers to admin chaos" problem yourself
  • Turn customer pain into something we can build
  • Keep an eye on what competitors are doing

What We Need

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in product, at least 5 leading product teams at B2B SaaS or tech-enabled services companies
  • You've actually shipped products in messy, unclear situations (not just managed a roadmap someone else defined)
  • You've worked with distributed engineering teams, ideally in APAC time zones
  • You can switch gears between strategic roadmap planning and tactical "let's debug this UX flow right now"
  • You get AI/ML products - you don't need to code, but you understand how the build/measure cycle works

Bonus points:

  • Healthcare, dental, or manufacturing experience
  • You've done the hybrid services + SaaS thing before
  • You've been through startup-to-scale

How This Works Day-to-Day

You'll embed with the squads. Learn by doing, not by reading documentation. Make the small calls quickly. Escalate when it matters. Build trust by shipping stuff, not by making presentations.

Why Join

We're profitable and growing. Self-funded, so no VC pressure or artificial timelines. This is a real business with real customers paying real money.

The mission is clear: dental labs lose customers because of administrative chaos, not because their work is bad. We're fixing that.

The product function needs a leader - this is your chance to build it the right way.

About this role

Evismart is building software and automation to solve the administrative chaos that costs dental labs customers. This Director role is hands-on and unstructured by design—you'll own the Command Center framework (the core interface for different lab roles), keep four product pillars coordinated, unblock squads when they hit walls, and stay close enough to customers to turn their pain into buildable problems. There's no pre-mapped playbook here; you're figuring out what dental lab jobs actually look like in person, writing the specs that define what ships, and measuring success on whether the people using these tools actually open them in a normal week.

You'll need 10+ years in product with at least 5 leading teams at B2B SaaS or tech-enabled services companies—ideally in messy, unclear situations where you shipped products without someone else's roadmap already defined. Experience with distributed engineering teams (especially APAC time zones) and a working understanding of how AI/ML products get built and measured are table stakes. You'll switch constantly between strategic roadmap planning and tactical debugging, and you'll embed with squads to make small calls quickly rather than manage from a distance.

The company is profitable, self-funded, and growing. If you've worked in healthcare, dental, or manufacturing, or navigated the hybrid services-plus-SaaS model before, that helps. This is a chance to build the product function at a company with real customers and real revenue—not artificial VC timelines.
