About this role

Olsson is looking for an intermediate CAD technician to support airport design and engineering projects from their Kansas City office. You'll work alongside technical staff to produce airport plans and drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD, handling tasks like advanced plan production, sheet creation, data gathering, and file maintenance. The role involves both office-based CAD work and occasional site visits in varying conditions to observe projects in progress.

The position suits someone with at least three years of hands-on experience in civil or engineering design environments who is comfortable taking direction while building ownership of their work. You'll need strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. An associate degree in a related field is preferred. Olsson emphasizes collaborative teamwork and professional representation, so the ability to work flexibly and contribute to a client-focused consulting business matters as much as technical skill.
