About this role

Animal Care Center in Princeton is seeking a Kennel Attendant to join a veterinary practice that has been part of the community since 1990. This role centers on the hands-on care of boarded and hospitalized animals—feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and monitoring their behavior and health. You'll also handle animal transport, assist the medical team with restraint and positioning during procedures, and maintain detailed records of any changes you observe. The work is physical and requires comfort lifting up to 50 pounds, handling larger animals, and spending extended periods on your feet in varied positions.

Beyond direct animal care, the position involves significant facility maintenance: keeping kennels, runs, and outdoor spaces clean and properly disinfected according to hospital protocols, managing supply inventory, and processing deliveries. You'll also support the client experience by greeting owners, answering phones, and communicating clearly about their pets' stays. This is a collaborative environment where you're expected to work flexibly across all operating hours and pitch in proactively wherever the team needs support.

The role is best suited for someone with prior kennel or animal care experience, though a high school diploma and genuine commitment to animal welfare are the core requirements. VetEvolve offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. If you thrive in a relationship-focused practice where long-tenured staff and genuine compassion define the culture, this could be a meaningful fit.
