More about Gatik
Founded in 2017 by experts in autonomous vehicle technology, Gatik has rapidly expanded its presence to Mountain View, Dallas-Fort Worth, Arkansas, and Toronto. As the first and only company to achieve fully driverless middle-mile commercial deliveries, Gatik holds a unique and defensible position in the AV industry, with a clear trajectory toward sustainable growth and profitability.
We have delivered complete, proprietary AV technology - an integration of software and hardware - to enable earlier successes for our clients in constrained Level 4 autonomy. By choosing the middle mile – with defined point-to-point delivery, we have simplified some of the more complex AV challenges, enabling us to achieve full autonomy ahead of competitors. Given extensive knowledge of Gatik’s well-defined, fixed route ODDs and hybrid architecture, we are able to hyper-optimize our models with exponentially less data, establish gate-keeping mechanisms to maintain explainability, and ensure continued safety of the system for unmanned operations.

About this role
Gatik AI is hiring a Technical Recruiter on a contract-to-hire basis to build engineering teams for its autonomous middle-mile logistics platform. You'd work on-site in Santa Clara, managing full-cycle recruiting across both hardware and software functions—sourcing candidates for roles spanning software engineering, AI/ML, robotics, embedded systems, electrical and mechanical engineering, and validation. The work involves close partnership with engineering leaders to shape hiring strategies, maintain talent pipelines, refine interview processes, and close competitive candidates in a fast-moving startup environment.
The role suits someone with at least three years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally from startups or high-growth tech companies, who understands both software and hardware engineering deeply enough to assess candidates credibly. You'll need strong sourcing skills, familiarity with recruiting tools like Greenhouse, and the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while staying current on autonomous vehicle and robotics talent markets. Startup experience is strongly preferred, as is comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving conditions with high ownership and urgency.
This is a contract position paying $50–$70 per hour, requiring five days a week on-site. It's a good fit if you've built technical teams before and want to contribute to a company that's already achieved fully driverless commercial deployments with major retailers.
