About this role
At Texas AirSystems, you'd be selling engineered HVAC and mechanical solutions to industrial operations—not off-the-shelf products, but custom systems designed to solve real operational challenges. You'd work with plant managers, facility engineers, and maintenance leaders to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, energy efficiency gains, and capital projects, then shepherd those deals from initial conversation through project completion and beyond. This is consultative selling that requires you to understand your customers' businesses as well as the technical systems that run them.
The role demands 5+ years in industrial sales, engineering, operations, or maintenance leadership—enough experience to credibly advise customers on complex problems and speak their language. You'll need strong technical aptitude around HVAC, mechanical systems, and controls, though you don't need to be an engineer; the ability to learn and communicate technical concepts matters more than deep expertise. Equally important are relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the discipline to manage multiple opportunities while hitting revenue targets.
Texas AirSystems is a 40-year-old, 500-person company with deep roots in Texas and partnerships with over 60 manufacturers. The in-office requirement in Austin means you'll be based there, likely spending significant time visiting customer facilities across the region. This is a role for someone who enjoys complex problem-solving, building long-term customer relationships, and working across internal teams—engineering, project management, service—to deliver results.
