About this role

Natera's phlebotomy role in Lewes is a 1099 position focused on specimen collection and logistics for a genetic testing company. You'll perform venipunctures, verify test orders and patient information, maintain specimen integrity through proper handling and documentation, and manage the administrative side of collections—tracking samples, updating status in Skedulo, resolving billing questions, and coordinating courier pickups. The work involves regular access to patient health information in both paper and electronic formats, so attention to detail and compliance with privacy standards is essential.

The role requires at least two years of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma; national certification may be required depending on Delaware regulations. An RN, BS, or BA is preferred but not required. You'll work in a mobile setting wearing scrubs and proper PPE, with the expectation that you complete Natera's procedure training within your first 30 days and stay current on all company training requirements. This suits someone comfortable with independent work, comfortable handling logistics and patient communication alongside clinical duties, and ready to operate within a regulated healthcare environment.

Natera offers competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage for eligible employees, plus free genetic testing for you and your family, fertility benefits, parental leave, 401k, and commuter benefits. As a 1099 contractor, you would manage your own tax obligations, but the company positions itself as a leader in genetic diagnostics with a mission-driven culture.
