Heart + Paw offers experienced and talented veterinarians a unique opportunity to co-own and lead modern veterinary centers across the East Coast, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. As a Partner Veterinarian and Co-Owner, you’ll build and lead your hospital with the potential to expand your ownership over time. We provide the infrastructure, experience, and support so you can focus on medicine, leadership, and culture-building. As Partner Veterinarian and Co-Owner, you will:
- Lead and co-own your Heart + Paw center.
- Build a team culture aligned with your vision and provide outstanding veterinary care.
- Mentor your team, oversee daily operations, and ensure exceptional client experiences.
- Collaborate with your Center Director and Heart + Paw leadership on hiring, scheduling, budgeting, and more.
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD with a valid state license.
- 4+ years of clinical experience and leadership expertise.
- A passion for preventive care, client service, and practice ownership.
- Tech-savvy with a focus on enhancing the pet and parent experience.
- Fear Free and HABRI certification (or willingness to obtain).

Heart + Paw is seeking an experienced veterinarian ready to move into ownership and leadership of a modern veterinary center in Nashville. This role offers a genuine path to co-ownership with equity stakes ranging from 5% to 49%, supported by financing assistance if needed. You'll earn a competitive salary from day one plus profit distributions, giving you both immediate income stability and long-term wealth-building potential as you grow the practice.
As Partner Veterinarian and Co-Owner, you'll have full clinical autonomy to design protocols, set practice standards, and build the hospital culture you envision. You'll lead your team, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with a Center Director and Heart + Paw's leadership on hiring, scheduling, and budgeting. The company handles operational support—marketing, accounting, HR, recruiting—so you can focus on medicine, mentorship, and the client experience. You'll work within Heart + Paw's network of veterinarian-led centers across the East Coast, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, with access to mentorship and shared expertise from other owners.
This opportunity suits a DVM or VMD with at least four years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability. You should have a genuine interest in preventive care, client service, and practice ownership, along with Fear Free and HABRI certification or willingness to obtain it. The role requires someone comfortable with technology and committed to building a low-stress, supportive environment for both pets and staff.
