About this role

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a School Leadership director for its Houston campus who can drive growth while maintaining the integrity of its Montessori program. You would own the strategic vision for the school, managing everything from enrollment and budget to staff hiring and retention. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can balance business metrics with educational excellence—hitting profitability targets while ensuring every classroom delivers a high-quality learning experience rooted in Montessori principles.

The ideal candidate brings director-level experience in early childhood education and a genuine commitment to the Montessori method. You'll need strong organizational skills, clear communication abilities, and the leadership judgment to make decisions with incomplete information. Experience teaching in an early childhood setting or serving as an admissions, program, or school director strengthens your candidacy, as does formal Montessori training or certification.

Guidepost offers professional development, peer mentorship, competitive salary, standard benefits including health and dental coverage, paid time off, and a 75% tuition discount for two children across their network. This role is based in-office in Houston and represents a genuine opportunity to shape a growing Montessori school while contributing to the organization's broader mission of expanding authentic Montessori education.
